Yes, you can suspend your hold while you are away by logging into My Library or calling your local LINC library. While a hold is suspended, you are temporarily removed from the queue and when you unsuspend your hold you rejoin it without losing your place.
To suspend a hold, login to My Library and click on the Manage Holds button. Next click on the Holds heading near the top of the screen. Select the tick boxes for the items you wish to suspend. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select the Suspend Selected button under the Reactivate or Suspend Selected Holds heading. Use the calendar buttons to choose the start and end date of your holds suspension and finally click on the Suspend Selected button.
Yes. Click on the tab for My Library and login. Your queue position and estimated wait time are under the hold details in your holds list.

Items placed on hold will be returned to the collection if they are not collected with 10 days of notification. Let your local LINC know if you are unable to collect a hold so that others can use the item.
You can place up to 15 holds at one time. If you want to keep tabs on other items you may like to place a hold on at some point, you can add them to your wishlist.
