frequently asked questionsA LINC Tasmania library card is for more than just borrowing books. You can borrow up to 15 lending items at any time, including magazines, CDs and DVDs. You can also access a huge number of magazine, journal and newspaper articles, heritage items and other information online from home. You can use your library membership to book a computer at Hobart, Glenorchy, Rosny, Kingston and Devonport.
Your card expires every 2 years but all you need to do to reactivate it is contact your local LINC and confirm your contact details. If you do not use your card for 3 years, it will be deleted off the system and you will need to rejoin.
Report your lost or stolen card as soon as possible so you will not incur any fines from others borrowing items using your card. There is a fee for a replacement library card.
