History Room

The History Room is a secure research area where clients can access material in the archival and heritage collections of LINC Tasmania.

Resources include rare and unique items from Tasmania's archives, the Crowther collection, the Allport collection, other Tasmanian heritage resources and the State Reference Library.

The History Room gives access to Tasmania's stateiana and other rare and valuable resources held by LINC Tasmania. Items are requested from the staff on duty and must be used in the History Room. As many of the items in the History Room are irreplaceable clients are required to register and provide photographic ID to use the room and to exercise the utmost care when handling any items.
