Accessibility

LINC Tasmania’s services are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.

Access

All urban LINCs have designated restricted parking either in designated car parking spaces or close by.

They also have automatic opening doors, toilets for the physically disabled, and lifts and ramps where required.

Aisle widths in some libraries, and the heights of tables on which our catalogue terminals and personal computers are placed, will accommodate wheelchair access. Some libraries also have baskets on wheels to assist people to carry items to be checked out.

Please check with your local LINC for details about access.

Assistance

If you need help with participating in community learning or literacy support activities due to physical or other health issues, please let our staff know when you enrol and they will assist you.

If you need support to attend a course or learning activity, e.g. disability access, hearing loop service, particular table height please let us know.  Where possible we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

The following services operate statewide:

Home Library Service: delivers library items to people who are unable to visit the library in person because of illness or disability.
