Baby Book Packs are available for loan throughout Tasmania. These Packs are part of LINC Tasmania’s Babies Who Read, Succeed! program and are designed to introduce parents to books suitable for three different age groups:

Reading to your baby is one of the greatest gifts you can give them. Babies who are regularly read to develop listening skills and attentiveness, and a familiarity with printed words which gives them a head start with reading and writing. The first two years of life are an important time for language development. By listening to nursery rhymes, songs, poems and stories, babies begin to recognise words and language patterns.
As soon as children are born they can start benefiting from this great program, working their way through the Baby Book Packs each year as they grow older. You can find Baby Book Packs in selected libraries or LINCs, or reserve one here.
The Baby Book Packs provide just a small sample of the huge range of books and other things for children that are available from LINC Tasmania. LINC Tasmania has thousands of wonderful children’s books and DVDs that can be borrowed for free from anywhere in the state through the online catalogue, TALIS.
