Congratulations to GovHack entrants

​Congratulations to all 2017 GovHack entrants, and especially those who used LINC Tasmania's open datasets.  They have produced creative and innovative ways to view Tasmanian  information!

  • Deathwho – Exciting multiplayer game that uses our Names Index data and explores early colonial lives.

    • Best use of Tasmanian Heritage Data
    • Best data visualisation
    • Design excellence
  • TasPast - Innovative front end for combining names index data that threads the records of individuals' lives together.
    Winner: 
    • Most outstanding Tasmanian benefit
  • X-Con – A creative online game to explore the lives of Tasmanian convicts.
GovHack is a national competition. Participants use government data to come up with innovative ways to improve people's lives.

Michael Ferguson, Tasmania's Minister for Information Technology and Innovation announced Tasmania's winners on Friday 25 August.

Good luck to these and other Tasmanian entrants in the Nationwide GovHack awards in October.
